Given its location at the northern tip of Anna Maria Island, Bean Point makes a natural starting point for our mini road trip from Anna Maria Island to Longboat Key. This is among the most secluded beaches on the island, making it a great spot to visit for those who appreciate a little peace and quiet and don't need access to many amenities.
Often referred to as one of AMI's hidden gems, Bean Point offers up stunning views of the Gulf of Mexico and Tampa Bay. It's the perfect place to enjoy a morning dip in the sea or a leisurely stroll to do a bit of beachcombing.

The Bridge Street Pier and surrounding area is a charming historic district that perfectly blends the Old Florida vibes that AMI is famous for with modern boutiques, restaurants, art galleries, and more - all set against the backdrop of stunning waterfront views.
Spend a bit of time exploring the unique shops such as Bridge Street Bazaar or Sea-renity Beach Spa and Eco Boutique for locally made wellness products. If art galleries are more your style, check out the local showcase at Island Gallery West.
Depending on which day of the week you opt to do this mini road trip from Anna Maria Island to Longboat Key, you can take advantage of the weekly market that takes place each Sunday. As you explore this lush natural park, you'll get the chance to discover verdant landscapes, native flora and fauna, mangrove tunnels, salt marshes, and sweeping views of Sarasota Bay.
Nestled on the southern end of Bradenton Beach, just before the bridge to Longboat Key, Leffis Key Preserve is a must-stop en route to Longboat Key. Take your time exploring the trails, and keep your eyes peeled for the diverse wildlife that calls this area home!

Welcome to Longboat Key! Our first stop will be the peaceful shores of Whitney Beach. Situated at the northern end of the island, Whitney Beach is a relatively quiet beach, perfect for an afternoon of relaxing with friends and family or settling in with a good book.
