4th of July Parade & Water Fight

The biggest 4th of July event on Anna Maria Island is the annual parade hosted by the AMI Privateers, a local non-profit organization.

The parade starts at 10 a.m at Coquina Beach and usually wraps up around 12:30 p.m. at the City Beach in Anna Maria. The parade ends with a picnic celebration with plenty of food, games, and entertainment.

Just know that this isn't your regular parade and onlookers will likely get doused in water. It's a lot of fun every year but come ready to get wet!

Event begins at 7pm on July 4th, 2025. Fireworks to follow at 9:30pm

Bradenton Beach's PIER 22 is a great choice to catch some of Anna Maria Island's best fireworks, as well as sample a massive buffet of family-friendly favorites. These festivities are exceptionally popular with locals and visitors alike, so make sure you get there early and reserve your tickets in advance.

The all-you-can-eat buffet runs from 7-10pm with the firework show starting at 9:30.

While the PIER 22 Restaurant Fireworks and Buffet celebration is a family-friendly event, alcohol is served. Just know that only soft drinks come included with the price of the ticket but alcoholic beverages can be purchased separately.

Anna Maria Island doesn't allow fireworks to protect the local sealife and ecosystem but you can find a really great show nearby in Sarasota.

We highly recommend you spend the day enjoying our parade and picnic and then, if your 4th of July isn't complete without some dazzling fireworks, heading towards Sarasota for their show.

The Sarasota Bay Fireworks starts at 9 p.m. and will wrap up at 9:30 p.m.

You can get a great view from Island Park, Bayfront Park (Sarasota not Anna Maria Island), downtown Sarasota rooftops, or even the Ringling Bridge.

This isn't an official Fourth of July celebration, but heading to the ballpark to watch a baseball game and enjoy a hot dog (or two) is about as all-American as it's possible to be! Check the official schedule for game dates — you'll usually find that one is scheduled around Independence Day.

For 2025, the Independence Day celebration will be held during the home game on July 3rd against Fort Myers.
